Gottman Method Relationship Assessment & Blueprint

The Gottman Relationship Assessment was developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, internationally recognised psychologists and relationship researchers. Over four decades of research, the Gottman’s have studied thousands of couples, identifying the key patterns that predict relationship success — and the behaviours that can lead to conflict or disconnection. Their work forms the foundation of evidence-based approaches that help couples strengthen communication, repair emotional disconnection, and deepen intimacy.
The Gottman Relationship Assessment is an online tool designed to provide couples with a detailed, structured understanding of their relationship. It includes questionnaires completed individually by each partner, which measure areas such as:

  • Communication and conflict styles
  • Emotional connection and intimacy
  • Friendship and shared meaning
  • Individual stressors and external influences
  • Patterns of strengths and areas for growth

Once completed, the results generate a personalised relationship report. In our sessions, we use this report to guide a relationship blueprint — a tailored roadmap that highlights your strengths, identifies areas to focus on, and outlines practical strategies to strengthen your connection.

Whether used as a standalone assessment, an add-on to a program, or as part of an intensive, the Gottman Assessment allows couples to gain clarity, insight, and direction in a structured, evidence-based way.
