Help us build something meaningful.

At Life in Colour, we believe better relationships create better lives.

We’re a relationship therapy clinic supporting couples and individuals through relationship distress, attachment injuries, trauma, intimacy concerns and neurodiverse relationship challenges. Our work is grounded in evidence-based practice, but just as importantly, in warmth, curiosity and genuine human connection.

If you’re looking for more than just a room to rent or a list of referrals, we’d love to meet you, because we’re always interested in connecting with great therapists.

Our Culture

At Life in Colour, we believe exceptional client care starts with well supported clinicians. We’re building a clinic where people feel supported, challenged, respected and genuinely enjoy coming to work.

Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. This means we value our relationships with our clients, and the relationships we build with each other. It’s important that we build a workplace where clinicians feel trusted, professionally supported and proud of the work they do. We also have a work hard, play hard attitude! Staff meetings, professional development and team building activities help us connect, laugh, form trusting connections, build skills and of course – lasting memories.

Our goal is to build a practice that clients confidently recommend to the people they love, and a workplace where therapists feel proud to build their careers.

When you join Life in Colour, you can expect:

  • A beautiful, welcoming clinic environment
  • Administrative and marketing support
  • Established referral pathways
  • Clinical collaboration and consultation including free professional development opportunities
  • Flexibility and professional autonomy
  • A culture that values integrity, safety, connection, curiosity and continual growth

The Kind of Therapists We're Looking For

Qualifications, experience and warmth.

We’re looking for clinicians who are person-centred, trauma-informed and relational in the way they work. If you are someone who is passionate about relationship therapy and trauma (or wants to learn more in this space), who asks thoughtful questions, values feedback, and is willing to continue investing in their craft, then we want to hear from you.

Our Clinical Standards

As a specialist relationship therapy clinic, we’re committed to maintaining high clinical standards.

All clinicians at Life in Colour must have:

  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications in counselling or psychology, with current registration or membership with the appropriate professional body.
  • A range of skills and abilities in evidence-based approaches and commitment to regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development

Because relationship therapy is our focus, we value therapists that have:

  • Advanced qualifications or training in relationship therapy or
  • A genuine commitment to undertaking recognised training in relationship therapy (such as Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), Gottman Method or another evidence-based couples therapy model)
  • Trauma-focused modalities such as EMDR and Somatic experiencing are also highly regarded

We’re particularly interested in meeting therapists with special interest areas or advanced training in particular therapeutic models and are able to provide supervision to other therapists as the team grows.

Current Opportunities

Relationship Therapist (Couples and/or Trauma) Independent Contractor

We’re seeking an experienced clinician with a passion for couples therapy, trauma therapy, or ideally the integration of both.

Experience in EFT, Gottman Method and/or EMDR will be highly regarded.

Don't See the Right Role?

Please don’t let that stop you from getting in touch. Exceptional therapists don’t always appear at the same time as job vacancies.

If you believe you’d be a great fit for Life in Colour, we’d love to hear from you.
